A recharge test is probably the easiest fairly accurate test. Discharge to 10%, charge to 100% recording the power with an accurate watt meter, with the battery at a known temperature, 25C to 30C. Within a few percentage points, the amount of energy needed is about the usable storage capacity of the battery.
